DEFINITION

Classification: 114/283

(under subclass 271) Device wherein a plurality of floats or surface skimming members are either connected together in a spaced, side-by-side fashion to form a vessel or they are connected to, but spaced from either side of a vessel's hull in such a manner that they coact with the water to at least partially support the weight of the vessel and thus allow the vessel's hull to raise up in the water when the vessel is under way.

(1) Note. For placement in this subclass, the float must be a separate and distinct entity which is not formed as part of the vessel's hull but rather is attached thereto.
