DEFINITION

Classification: 166/117.7

(under the class definition) Devices comprising a means located below ground level in a well conduit adapted to cause relative rotary motion between one section of conduit and another section of conduit also located in the well, said means including a means movable outwardly to engage the

surrounding well conduit section to prevent rotation of one portion of the rotating means in the well.

(1) Note. Generally one of the sections of conduit is a pipe which is stuck in the well bore and held against rotation and the below ground means is anchored to a separate outer well conduit and engages only the uppermost section of the stuck section in the manner of a fishing tool.
