DEFINITION

Classification: 200/512

Membrane type:

(under subclass 502) Subject matter wherein the switch includes at least one contact member which is carried on or actuated by a flexible sheet, which cooperates with another contact on a substrate to open or close a circuit.

(1) Note. The membrane switch normally comprises a substrate and a flexible sheet sealed together with a separate spacer which is normally used to separate the substrate, and the flexible sheet normally carries the moving contact.
