201 /   HD   DISTILLATION: PROCESSES, THERMOLYTIC

9AND SURFACE TREATING MATERIAL TO REDUCE OR PREVENT AGGLOMERATING OR FOAMING OR SWELLING DURING DISTILLATION

DEFINITION

Classification: 201/9

(under the class definition) Processes which include a treatment of the surface of the particles of the charge to reduce or prevent agglomerating or foaming or swelling during distillation.

(1) Note. Searing the surface of the feed particles to inhibit swelling during the carbonizing step is "Treating" within the purview of this subclass.
