(1) Note. For the purpose of classification in this or indented subclass the alkali metals are Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs and Fr.

(2) Note. This subclass contains, for example, sweetening processes wherein the treating agent may be sodium or

potassium hydroxide, carbonate or bicarbonate.
