DEFINITION

Classification: 234/127

(under subclass 126) Device including means responsive to the selection of a particular tool, or to the number or combinational arrangement of the tools chosen for a cycle of actuation, to control the work-feed varying means.

(1) Note. For example, in a selective tape punch which records symbols of varying length (e.g., Morse or cable code characters), the increment of tape feed after each punching cycle may be made equal to the length of tape occupied by the character punched.
