(under subclass 463) Apparatus in which the flow passages

causing the fluid to spin or rotate are spiral in form and extend only at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the flow path.

(1) Note. The arrangement is such that the fluid enters the spiral passage along its entire axial extent and is turned in a perpendicular direction from its original direction of flow.
