DEFINITION

Classification: 24/122.3

(under subclass 115) Devices specially designed for gripping or holding a sheathed strand, i.e., a cord, rope or other flexible strand which is enclosed in a tubular covering therefor.

(1) Note. The term "covering" as herein used, includes, for example, coatings of fibrous, plastic, or other material, and also armors or sheaths formed of wires concentrically arranged about a central core-strand.
