DEFINITION

Classification: 269/147

(under subclass 140) Device wherein the coacting jaws are mounted on a rectilinear shank (rod, rail or bar) which shank constitutes the common supporting structure relative to which coating jaws are positioned and which shank is not secured to

a base or mount.

(1) Note. Patents to a holder including a beam with a lateral projection fixed thereto, through which projection an actuating means moves a jaw parallel to the extent of the beam, are considered akin to a straight beam type for this and indented subclasses.
