(under subclass 25.01) Process or apparatus comprising manufacturing (1) an electrical component consisting of two electrical conductors placed either in contact with each other or separated by an interface, which component has a nonlinear resistance characteristic as a result of the electrical action of the interface or (2) a device incorporating a nonmetallic electric conductor in which current is carried by the movement of ions, which device is other than those classified in the class for Chemistry: Electrical and Wave Energy.
