(under subclass 400) Device particularly adapted to pierce a container composed of a generally planar wall and a generally cylindrical intersecting wall and including a chime (i.e., a bead formed at the joint or seam extending about the periphery of the planar wall), the device including an annular, driven, wheel-like member adapted to continuously engage the chime and thereby cause transversal of the cutting element relative to the container, during the opening operation.
