DEFINITION

Classification: 337/334

(under subclass 333) Subject matter comprising manual or other mechanical means acting conjointly or cooperatively with at least one bimetallic device, or which acts as an intermediary between the thermally responsive bimetallic element and at least one movable contact, thereby opening or closing an electrical circuit. The manual means may be a handle or push button actuated means, for instance or the other mechanical means may be any combination of mechanical elements, as a toggle for instance.

(1) Note. For other manual or mechanical controls used in this class, see the subclasses listed under SEARCH THIS

CLASS, SUBCLASS in subclass 115.

SEE OR SEARCH THIS CLASS, SUBCLASS:

37+, for similar subject matter in an electrothermally actuated switch. See (1) Note above.
