(under subclass 118) Subject matter including structure mechanically linked with the movable contact of the resistor or the element where movable, and peculiarly adapted for operation by the foot or knee, as by being operable by a push, and including structure such as a spring for returning to the initial position upon removal of the pushing force, and including a portion shaped to facilitate engagement with the foot as by being shaped like the sole of the foot or having a substantially flat foot engaging surface.
