DEFINITION

In which simultaneous signals are converted into sequential signals or vice versa:

(under subclass 453) Subject matter wherein one of the signals has information for all three colors, red (R), green (G), and blue (B) all the time and the other has information

for no more than two colors at any one time with at least two signals being time division multiplexed.

(1) Note. Systems that alternate signals at the pixel rate (dot sequential) are considered simultaneous.

(2) Note. Included herein are systems that convert from SECAM to PAL or NTSC or vice versa.
