(under subclass 3.1) Subject matter wherein an electrical signal is generated based on the incidence of the two sources onto a photodetector that is not located on the same plane, platform, or station(s) as the two sources.

(1) Note. The detector may be located at the target to receive direct unreflected directional beams of illumination from the sources.
