DEFINITION

Classification: 400/216.2

With typewriter-controlled change of field:

(under subclass 216.1) Subject matter wherein a first part of a typewriter moves to accomplish its intended first-part function, and during said movement the first part engages a second part to move the second part, and wherein movement of the second part causes movement of the vibrator* that changes the ribbon* zone that is over the print-point*.

(1) Note. This subclass provides for a typewriter wherein the typist may preset the typewriter to imprint selected columns of type in different colors of ink*.
