(under the class definition) Apparatus wherein either a portion of the working fluid* encompassing the impeller* or the exhaust gas from an impeller* drive engine is caused to flow through (1) the impeller hub, (2) drag or head resistance reducing means such as a smooth outline member or covering supported on the impeller carrier* or (3) an enclosing cover for an apparatus part, such as a drive motor or transmission.
