DEFINITION

Classification: 423/50

(under subclass 49) Processes wherein a liquid or slurry is treated to form a substance which is insoluble therein and comes out of solution, or wherein the composition of the liquid is changed so that one part of the mixture becomes insoluble substance can be separated from the liquid and the materials which remain soluble in the liquid.

(1) Note. Crystallization of a substance is included under this definition of insolubilization.
