Work penetrating member:

(under subclass 350) Method or apparatus wherein a workpiece includes a sharp edge and is intended to fasten by the act of that edge piercing into the other workpiece.

(1) Note. Penetration of this subclass is for the purpose of bringing about assembly and not for the purpose of forming an opening in the pierced workpiece.
