DEFINITION

Classification: 508/360

With an organic chalcogen compound, which may or may not be reacted with the phosphosulfurized or phosphooxidized hydrocarbon (e.g., phenols, alcohols, quinones, etc.):

(under subclass 354) Compositions (1) which contain, in addition to the phosphosulfurized or phosphooxidized hydrocarbon, an organic chalcogen (i.e., oxygen, sulfur, selenium, or tellurium) compound or (2) wherein the phosphosulfurized or phosphooxidized hydrocarbon is reacted with an organic chalcogen compound.

(1) Note. An organic chalcogen compound is one in which chalcogen is attached directly or indirectly by nonionic bonding to carbon of an organic compound.

(2) Note. See Notes to the Class Definition for the definition of an organic compound.
