DEFINITION

Classification: 514/179

Modified C-ring (except methyl in 13-position) (e.g., double bond containing substituted, etc.):

(under subclass 178) Subject matter wherein the C-ring of the cyclopentanohydrophenanthrene ring system contains a double bond or is substituted, other than -CH3 in 13-position, i.e., 18-methyl.

(1) Note. For the purpose of this classification, the C-ring is defined as including positions 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, and 14.

(2) Note. See subclass 169 for the numbering system of a cyclopentanohydrophenanthrene nucleus.
