Contacting two or more solid polymers with a phenolic reactant; or contacting a solid polymer with a phenolic reactant and subsequently contacting the treated polymer with an additional solid polymer:

(under subclass 132) Subject matter wherein either a solid ethylenically polymerized polymer is (a) contacted with one other solid polymer and a phenolic reactant, or (b) is contacted first with a phenolic reactant and subsequently with one other solid polymer.

(1) Note. The other solid polymer may be one derived other than only from ethylenic reactants (e.g., polyester, polyamide, etc.).
