DEFINITION

Classification: 72/163

And back-up means for roller deflector:

(under subclass 160) Subject matter wherein the instrumentality has a plurality of rollers* for deflecting work, and the rollers are supported against movement at right angles to the axes thereof by means located between the ends of the work-engaging surfaces of the rollers and in contact therewith.

(1) Note. The deflecting rollers engage the work and are between the work and the back-up means. The pressure exerted by the work in resisting deformation is transmitted through the rollers to the back-up means, rather than being absorbed by the rollers along.
