DEFINITION

Classification: 72/16.1

Including plural sensors or sensor responsive to comparison between plural conditions:

(under subclass 6.1) Subject matter including using (a) multiple detecting means to discern a corresponding number of characteristics, or (b) a single detecting means to discern multiple characteristics; in either case, then comparing the characteristics and generating a resultant impulse representing the similarities or differences between the detected characteristics, whereby the regulating means governs the machine in accordance with the resultant impulse to correct incipient errors in the machine or to maintain operation of the machine.

11.2+, 13.2, 13.7, 14.1, 18.1+, 20.4, and 21.1, for metal deforming including multiple sensing but without comparison of impulses from the sensors.
