(under subclass 218) Apparatus in which the distributor comprises a movable fluid control element which is arranged so as to completely encompass the working member in a plane transverse to the reciprocatory path of said working member, the working member reciprocating relative to the fluid control element, and the fluid control element forming a portion of the working chamber wall.
