With programmed, cyclic, or time responsive control means:

(under subclass 108) Apparatus which is provided with control means not directly responsive to a sensed condition for (a) storing coded instructions or other data necessary to regulate operation of the apparatus, (b) repetitively regulating a sequence of operational steps performed in or by the apparatus, or (c) causing various operations to occur according to preset timing sequences or to last for predetermined durations (e.g., timer switches, etc.).

(1) Note. This subclass includes any control means which maintains an operating condition, predetermines apparatus operation, or regulates repetition.

(2) Note. Apparatus not specifically designed or used as described above (e.g., with mere use of a rotating gas distributor, etc.) are more appropriately classified below.
