DEFINITION

Classification: 198/406

(under subclass 373) Apparatus wherein each article that is conveyed in a sequence of articles is a) lifted or lowered relative to an original direction of conveyance, and is also b) turned about its "Z" axis, during its conveyance.

(2) Note. A device wherein an article is simply lifted and lowered (or vice versa) to its original elevation is not in this subclass, but may be found in such subclasses as 411 or 414.
