DEFINITION

Testing for sterility condition:

(under subclass 29) Subject matter wherein the efficacy of a prior step intended to destroy living organisms is assessed

by attempting to culture a microorganism which has been exposed to such treatment and determining subsequent growth or by exposing an enzyme to such treatment and subsequently testing for enzymatic activity.

(1) Note. Included in this subclass is the use of a living microorganism as the test agent or the use of enzymes which simulate the living microorganism's ability to survive as a test agent.
