Drive in forward direction by direct clutch:

(under subclass 15) Subject matter wherein means are provided to directly connect said input body to said output body for common directional rotation, with no ratio change, in one of said rotational directions. [figure] [caption]In a reversing mechanism, the combination of a driving-shaft, a wheel 3 secured thereon to revolve always therewith, a driven shaft 2, a friction-clutch connected to revolve said shaft and also to slide thereon and arranged normally to frictionally engage said wheel 3, a friction-wheel as 7 connected to the wheel 3, a friction-wheel as 17 mounted on a stud or axle, a friction-wheel as 16 connected to said wheel 17, a friction-wheel as 13 connected with the friction-clutch 10, and means for moving the clutch 10 on its shaft to disengage it from the wheel 3 and cause frictional engagement between the wheels 13 and 16 and the wheels 7 and 17 so as to reverse the motion of the shafts 2.
